Safekeeping
and Fees
We
have established custodial relationships for our clients with
RBC Financial Group and TD Waterhouse. This allows our clients
to participate fully in any North American or foreign markets
with the assurance that all security transactions are settled
promptly and efficiently, and that all-administrative details
are looked after properly. We have negotiated a very favorable
fee structure for our clients with both institutions. These fees
are tax deductible.
The
custody service provides the following benefits to each client:
-
The collection of dividends, interest and
principal for investments in bonds, stocks and cash capital
or revenue accounts. Premium rates are paid on cash balances.
-
The
safe custody of all worldwide assets.
-
The
prompt and efficient execution, delivery and settlement of
securities' assets.
-
Simplified
monthly statements showing a summary of total assets and all
transactions and revenue collected during the period.
-
Annual
tax and capital gains statements to assist year-end accounting.
Beneficial
Fee Structure:
-
Our investment and investment counseling
fees are tax deductible.
-
Clients
pay no sales commissions to enter the relationship.
-
There
are no hidden trailer fees.
-
Brokerage
commissions, which are extra, are a fraction of regular retail
rates.
Fee
Structure
Consistent
with our policy of independence, client fees are the firm's only
source or remuneration. We charge an annual fee for our portfolio
management and counseling services. Fees are calculated quarterly,
in arrears, on the assets under management. The fee structure
gives the manager the incentive both to preserve capital and to
increase the value of the portfolio.
Investment
Management:
A declining fee schedule based on assets under
management, including a minimum annual fee, is available upon
request.
Investment
Counselling
Investment
counseling is available as an alternative to our investment management
service. The fee is set after consideration of each individual's
specific requirements.
